I am in possession of all three "next gen" systems, although I think now they are current gen. While I do enjoy all three, there's things about the Playstation 3 that really irk me. Most of all, however, is the installation process for every recent game that has come out. Let me get this out of the way first; I am not a big PC gamer. The only reason I am building a gaming rig is for the FPS's, RTS's, and Oblivion (I am aware that there are 360 and PS3 versions out, but you can't mod those.), so it's safe to say I'm not a big PC gamer. This is because I'm all about instant gratification. Yes, as a Wizard I can bend time and reality to my will at level 25, but as a fighter I can take a whole horde of Kobolds by myself at level 3! So, I don't PC game very often due to the fact that I have to take twenty minutes out of my day to install the game onto my machine. For those of you saying "Candin, it doesn't take twenty minutes", you haven't seen the machine I'm currently working on.
This is why I'm a console gamer, instant gratification. I'm willing to suffer through long load times because I'm playing the game NOW, not twenty minutes from now. I feel that the PS3 doesn't seem to get this. I'd much rather sit through a loading screen here and there then sit through one long ass, boring install screen when I'm pretty sure that if you take the time it uses to install it and evenly distribute it evenly throughout your playing sessions, it saves no time at all. What's the point?
I also console game because I'm used to controllers, but that's an entirely different rant altogether.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
